Integration

nexxcite connects your processes to your other systems

A purchase request ends up in the ERP, an onboarding creates accounts in the directory, a complaint takes data from the CRM. Most processes need connections like these. In nexxcite, you set them up as a step in a flow, without a separate integration project.

  • REST API with OAuth2
  • Directory service building blocks
  • Email, files, data formats
  • MCP in both directions

Every direction

Data flows in both directions

In Other systems call nexxcite Through a documented REST API with OAuth 2.0. The same rules and checks apply as in the interface.
Out nexxcite calls other systems HTTP calls, scripts, email and file storage as a step in a flow, without a separate integration tool.
MCP Tools for agents, both ways nexxcite provides tools for AI agents and connects external MCP servers. Through MCP, AI assistants access the tools and data of other systems.

Supported standards

Standards and formats nexxcite supports

  • REST API
  • OAuth 2.0
  • OpenID Connect
  • LDAP
  • Active Directory
  • Exchange Online
  • IMAP
  • SMTP
  • Azure Blob Storage
  • S3
  • HTTP calls
  • JSON
  • XML
  • Excel
  • CSV
  • Scripts
  • Schedules
  • MCP

Two directions

Both directions use the same rules

Other systems call nexxcite

A documented REST API with OAuth 2.0 sign-in. It uses the same processing as the interface: rules, calculations, checks and follow-up actions apply in the same way.

  • Create, read and update records
  • Queries with filters, sorting and paging
  • Trigger flows
  • Interactive API documentation
  • Access in the permission context of a defined user
The API in detail

nexxcite calls other systems

As a step in a flow, without a separate integration tool and without programming.

  • HTTP calls with headers, body and authentication
  • Parse and iterate JSON or XML responses
  • Script and program calls on the server
  • Send email via SMTP or Exchange Online
  • Read and write files in storage

Same processing

A flow triggered via the API behaves like one started by a click

There is no second processing path for machine calls, no different checks and no special logic. In practice, this means: when you test a process in the interface, the API route is tested along with it.

Ready-made connections

These connections are already included

Directory service

Set up new staff without scripts.

Ready-made building blocks for directory operations: HR records the new joiner, and the flow creates the account, sets the initial password and maintains the groups. When someone leaves, it runs the other way.

  • Create, move, remove users
  • Set and reset passwords
  • Maintain group memberships
  • Read, set, clear attributes
  • Search and check objects

Sign-in

Your identity management stays in charge: OpenID Connect, LDAP and Active Directory, user sync from the directory, OAuth 2.0 for connected systems.

Email

Sending via SMTP and Exchange Online. Mailbox monitoring via IMAP and Exchange Online, with rules by sender, subject, content and attachment, including matching to existing cases.

File storage

Attachments do not have to live in the database: file system, Azure Blob Storage or S3-compatible storage, chosen per use case.

Data formats

Often laborious in integration projects, included here: read, iterate and generate JSON, plus XML, Excel and CSV, and large files line by line.

Agent tools

Model Context Protocol (MCP) both ways: nexxcite provides tools, and external MCP servers are also made available to the assistant, including within flows.

An example

A new joiner is recorded only once

  1. 01

    HR records the new joiner

Name, department, start date and workplace are entered once, in the HR workspace's form.

  2. 02

The account appears in the directory

The flow creates the user in Active Directory and assigns the department's groups.

  3. 03

    The hardware gets ordered

Via an HTTP call to the leading system's API, with the values from the joiner record.

  4. 04

    The line manager is informed

By email through Exchange Online, with a checklist for day one.

  5. 05

A check before the start date

Before the start date, a schedule checks whether everything is done and escalates whatever is missing.

Configuration, not a project

Connections are configured within the flow

The usual way

Integration as a project of its own

A middleware tool, a service provider, a script on a server that nobody remembers after a while.

  • A separate tool with its own licence and its own operation
  • Credentials scattered across scripts
  • Errors show up when data goes missing
  • Every change is a ticket for the service provider
With nexxcite

Integration as a step in the flow

Configured where the process is defined: visible, protected by permissions and monitored.

  • HTTP, directory, email and files as building blocks
  • Credentials stored centrally with their own permissions
  • Background jobs with monitoring
  • Changes in a draft, with approval

FAQ

What IT teams ask about integration

Which ERP and business systems can be connected?

Anything that offers an HTTP API, through configured calls with authentication, with responses as JSON or XML. Plus file exchange via Excel, CSV, JSON and XML, and script and program calls on the server.

Can we import data on a regular basis?

Yes. Scheduled flows fetch files from storage or call APIs and process the results, line by line if needed. Background jobs are monitored.

Where are the credentials for third-party systems stored?

Centrally managed with their own permissions. Flows reference them instead of containing them.

How is the API documented?

Every installation ships an OpenAPI description and interactive documentation for its own version, including the record types set up in your system.

What happens if an external MCP server is unreachable?

It is skipped and logged. The assistant carries on with the remaining tools.
